Every Monday-Friday at 10 pm on 106.3 Radio Lafayette, we give you a listen to some of the freshest tracks from your favorite artists with the 10 O’Clock News! In case you missed it, here are some quick hits of new music that we played for you on March 18th.
Smith & Thell – Forgive Me Friend
The Swedish duo is really making waves right now with this song off of their EP “Telephone Wires” and a lot of it has to do with the themes of the song being pretty relatable to most people. The song, which also features Swedish Jam Factory, is all about a friendship that has gone sour and about being young and thinking that you’re never going to change.
David Gray – A Tight Ship
His new album “Gold In a Brass Age” dropped back on March 8th and my goodness is it fantastic. Gray is in the middle of a resurgence after hitting it big with the song “Babylon” off of the album “White Ladder” back in 1999. He’s currently on tour and will be in Houston, Texas on May 24th if you want to check him out.
Kian – Waiting
The Australian artist wrote the song at the age of 14 and mentioned that it’s all about the feeling of uncertainty when you don’t if they like you back. It’s typical teenage fare, but at the end of the day we were all in that position at one point or another in our lives and that’s what makes the song so relatable.
Judah & the Lion – Over My Head
The latest track from the group is definitely a personal one. In fact, Judah Akers spent the last five years drowning in his own thoughts and the new track is something that helped him process all of the things that he was dealing with. This is one of the tracks off of their upcoming album Pep Talks that is slated to come out in May.
