2nd Annual La Fête du Festival, presented by Helmer Announced
Lafayette, LA – Festival International de Louisiane is proud to announce the second annual La Fête du Festival, presented by Helmer Directional Drilling, to be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm at The Grouse Room.
“We’re looking forward to this event and are grateful for Helmer Directional Drilling for their continued support throughout the years. We had a great turn out last year, and are hoping for a successful second year with this fundraiser,” says Scott Feehan, President of the Board of Festival International.
“We are excited to be celebrating our 30th year of Festival and keeping it accessible for everyone to enjoy. However, we all know that the festival costs money to produce,” says Renee Helmer of Helmer Directional Drilling, the event’s presenting sponsor. “We’ve helped plan a wonderful fundraiser and it is sure to be one of the best events this year! Attendees can have a great time knowing their contribution is keeping the Festival free!”, says Helmer.
The fundraising party will feature live music by local group, the Julie Williams Duo, returning Festival favorite Chic Gamine from Canada, food by Poupart’s Bakery, and specialty libations. Chic Gamine last performed at Festival International in 2013 and won over the hearts of Festival goers. “They are one of our most requested bands to bring back,” says Lisa Stafford, Programming Director. “We’re happy to be able to get them in such an intimate setting for our supporters.”
La Fête du Festival will be a speakeasy themed party with specialty cocktails, 1920’s party favors and a few more surprises. Attendees will be the first to see and be able to purchase the 30th Anniversary 2016 cloisonné pin and poster, inspired by the official artwork, Le Rêve Lyrique du Festival by local artist Denise Gallagher.
The official artwork will be on display and sold by silent auction during La Fête du Festival.
Tickets to La Fête du Festival are $50 for individuals or $80 for a pair and can be purchased at festivalinternational.org/fete. Tickets include live music, food and two drink vouchers for select beer and wine provided by Schilling Distributing Co.
Corporate and VIP sponsor packages are also available for $1,000. The VIP package includes tickets for up to six guests, seating in the luxurious Scotch Room, a meet and greet with Chic Gamine plus logo and/or name recognition as a sponsor. Visit festivalinternational.org/fete to learn more.
