10 O’Clock News and Notes March 12, 2019

Posted by clintdomingue on March 13, 2019 in Blogs

Every Monday-Friday at 10 pm on 106.3 Radio Lafayette, we give you a listen to some of the freshest tracks from your favorite artists with the 10 O’Clock News! In case you missed it, here are some quick hits of new music that we did air on Tuesday, March 13th.

Smith & Thell – Forgive Me Friend

The Swedish duo is really making waves right now with this song off of their EP “Telephone Wires” and a lot of it has to do with the themes of the song being pretty relatable to most people. The song, which also features Swedish Jam Factory, is all about a friendship that has gone sour and about being young and thinking that you’re never going to change. Really great stuff from a group that’s starting to get a lot more noticed.

X Ambassadors – Boom

The new single from the group has been getting a lot of love as of late and they’re striking while the iron is hot. After being on Jimmy Kimmel last Tuesday, they announced a series of shows in Europe and they will have an up-and-coming star from London in Minke joining them.

Jade Bird – I Get No Joy

She is counting down the days until her new self-titled album is released (April 19th for those who were interested). In fact, she just dropped a new track called My Motto in the last few days so check it out before the album drops because I have a feeling it will sell a lot of records before it’s all said and done.

Broken Bells – Shelter

It’s been about four years since their song “Holding On for Life”: dropped and many have been waiting for a new track. The wait is now over with the song Shelter. Nothing has been announced in terms of a new album, but you have to imagine this could be the start of more music coming from the collaboration.
