You know when you live in a community which promotes itself as the Frog Capital of America, you are part of a special community. From there you must have an annual celebration of the frog and then you need a parade and of course a diaper derby.
That and more is happening May 8th through Saturday, May 11th at the Rayne Frog Festival. Holy cow! Kicking off the festival on a Wednesday can only mean this is going to be one heck of a party.
This is the best season for Acadiana and South Louisiana, It’s Festival Season!
The activities include live music. rides for the kids, frog races and the frog jumping contest. Plus the Bullfrogs in Costume is always popular and mom will enjoy the shopping the arts and crafts. Kids and the kid in all of us will test our skill to win prizes and stuffed animals at different games. You know you’ll want to try your luck at a huge stuffed animal.
Let’s not forget about the food. You’ll find popular food on a stick and of course many different varieties of frog and frog legs.
And of course, LIVE FROGS!
