This is an open invitation for any Lafayette area brass musicians to come together and parade downtown to help commemorate those lost and affected by the recent tragedy in our home town. Anyone old enough to look at a horn is welcome to join. Anyone wanting to come just for support is absolutely welcome as well. They will be playing at Blackham Coliseum on Thursday July 30th at 6pm before the Lafayette Strong event. Anyone planning on playing should arrive at 5:30pm. They will also be premiering a piece that was commissioned for the tragedy entitled “Élégie Acadienne” later in the evening. All proceeds will be donated to the families of those lost. Let’s come together and show everyone what Acadiana Love is all about. Also, after the LCG event VHS will be playing at the Feed and Seed. All proceeds are being donated as well and we’ll have donation jars setup through the night.
