Front Line Workers Could Receive $250

Louisiana is awarding a stimulus check to certain essential workers. The application is now available at FrontlineWorkers.la.gov.

You could qualify to receive $250, if you worked with the public during the initial stay-at-order and if you made less than $50,000 as an annual salary. An essential worker is anyone who reported to work on a daily basis during the pandemic and interacted with the public. For example, a grocery store employee, healthcare worker, police officer, nurse, bus driver, or any job that involves working with the public, could qualify.

So, if you worked on the “frontline” while friends and family stayed home, you could receive money in the near future. The check is expected to arrive within two to three weeks after the application is approved. Applicants must have worked at least 200 hours between March 22 and May 14 to be eligible.

Submit your application here.
