Dave Grohl turns 52 today. To celebrate the Foo Fighters have released another song from their upcoming album: Medicine at Midnight, which goes on sale February 5th.
The new song is “Waiting on a War” was inspired by a conversation Grohl had with his daughter about the looming threat of a war.
The song starts off with Grohl singing over an acoustic guitar and a strings section. In true Foo Fighters fashion, the song builds and the heavy guitars arrive towards the end.
