Bark in the Park 2015

This year’s 17th annual Bark in the Park event, put on by Acadiana Animal Aid, will take place at Girard Park in Lafayette on Sunday November 8th from 12-5 PM. This is a free event which serves to help us educate our community on the importance of

  • spaying and neutering your pet

  • microchipping

  • keeping current on vaccinations and heartworm preventatives

We welcome people of all ages, and dogs of all breeds to join us while having a fun filled day at the park. There will be food, drinks, music, pet demonstrations, agility courses for dogs, low cost pet microchipping, and tons of childrens activities, like face painting, a kids train, a fun jump and more!

12:00 PM Event begins. Registration for contests open. Raffle Tickets on sale

12:30 PM Blessing by Deacon Tim Maragos

1:00 PM Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit Demo

1:30 PM Dog Training Demo by Ally Locklin from Camp Bow Wow

2:00 PM Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit Demo

2:30 PM Registration for contests closes

2:45 PM Dog contests begin

4:00 PM Drawing for Raffle – winner receives 1/2 of raffle proceeds
