Severe weather expected today

Posted by mattmiguez on March 25, 2024 in Blogs, Featured, Latest News, Local News, Miguez's Blog, What's Hot, What's New

Severe thunderstorms are expected in the Acadiana area today and into the night.

According to our partner KADN News 15:

“A WIND ADVISORY is in effect until 7 p.m. tonight. Showers and storms will roll through Acadiana later today as a powerful weather system moves east. Ahead of the storms, winds will gust up to 45 mph at times. Later today, storm chances increase with the potential for severe weather. The greatest risk for the strongest storms will be to our north, but we could see damaging wind gusts, hail, tornadoes, and flooding from some. Highs reach the upper 70s this afternoon. These storms push east of the area by midnight and we see drier and slightly cooler air move in overnight. Lows will be in the 50s.”

Please take caution when traveling on roadways and don’t leave the house unless necessary. Stay up to date with the latest info.
