The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival began this past weekend effectively launching the nation’s summer concert season. For the first time, the mega festival is scheduled for two weekends, Friday through Sunday, April 15-17 and April 20-22. Held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, the event draws roughly 85,000 people to the Southern California desert from throughout the world. Coachella offers two weekends packed with music and art with headliners this year including Guns N’ Roses, LCD Soundsystem and Calvin Harris on both weekends. Other performances at the festival include Ice Cube, Ellie Goulding, James Bay, Gary Clark Jr., Courtney Barnett, and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.
