Have you heard of “drunkorexia?” It’s the name given to behaviors such heavy exercising and skipping meals to offset calories from a heavy night of drinking, or to intensify alcohol’s buzz. University of Houston researchers did a study and 80 percent of college students say they engage in “drunkorexia” behaviors. Believe it or not ,the study found that drunkorexic practices were just as common among men as they were in women believe it or not. One major health concern with drunkorexia is that people can become deficient in thiamine, and that can lead to nerve and brain damage.
