Clint’s Weekend Sports Review

weekend-sports-review

Welcome everyone to the latest weekend in review when it comes to the world of sports! The holiday weekend brought a ton of great moments for casual and hardcore sports fans alike!

College: LA Tech and Navy Get Into a Shootout

The bowl games that aren’t the College Football Playoff usually don’t attract the casual fans, but when you see the Bulldogs and the Midshipmen take the field, this has to intrigue some fans. And those that did this past Friday weren’t disappointed as it was a high scoring affair that ended with a field goal as time expired to give Louisiana Tech a win in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl. Skip Holtz’ crew is quickly making a statement that they are the number two team in the state behind LSU.

Pro Football: Wild Finish In Buffalo

NFL during the holiday season is not ideal for the typical fan. In fact, I hardly watched any the last couple of days outside of the noon game and the Saints. Good thing I did because most of the matchups on tap the rest of the way were less than entertaining and the intrigue of the Dolphins playing without Ryan Tannehill had to be more than enough to hook you in for a midday viewing session while cooking your Christmas Eve meal. Then the final moments of the game happened where the Bills would take a three point lead with 10 points coming in the final five minutes, but Miami was able to get in field goal range to tie things up at regulation. The Dolphins were able to come away with an overtime thriller with a chip shot with 46 seconds left.

Pro Basketball: Classic In the Q

This was the must watch game for a reason because it was an NBA Finals rematch. The rivalry between these two reached a new crescendo with Kyrie striking from deep with the gamewinner. If that’s a prelude of things to come between these two, we could be in store for an amazing NBA Finals.
