Welcome everyone to my preview of this coming weekend in the world of sports! It’s officially my second favorite time of the year.
College Baseball Is Back Baby!
The amount of hype for this season in college baseball is all too real, especially in South Louisiana. The LSU Tigers and the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns are poised to have another amazing 2017 season and if you want a preview of the season for each team, check it out here and here. I’m just looking forward to the first games inside the newly renovated Tigue.
All-Star Saturday
I’m more of a fan of the All-Star Saturday than the actual game itself. You have the dunk contest which is usually pretty entertaining along with the suspense of the three-point shooting contest. While the dunk contest isn’t stellar in terms of the lineup, I’ll be sure to keep tabs on it while looking at all the things going on during the first weekend of college baseball.
Big Series Alert: Cajuns vs Alabama
While college baseball is getting started, college softball is well underway and this may be must-watch softball between two top 25 teams facing off against each other. If you don’t mind dealing with all the mess around the Cajundome this weekend, you will enjoy some good softball at Lamson.
Top 25 Matchup: Wisconsin vs Maryland
It’s something about being on CBS that immediately grabs my attention. As we try and get over the fact that football is out of our lives for another three months before the draft, having CBS air some of the best matchups in the world of college hoops makes life easy when it comes to deciding which game is going on which screen.
