Fresh off of their EP release earlier this year called, ‘Hell or High Water’, the New Orleans three-piece rock ‘n’ roll outfit, Blonde Roses, have released a brand new single, ‘One Ways’. It was recorded and produced by Paul Broussard and Matthew A. McElveen at Leap Studios right here in Lafayette, LA.
According to the band, ‘One Ways’ is about being stuck in this place you don’t want to be anymore – whether it be emotionally or physically. I think a lot of times we feel trapped marching in a single file line, following these guidelines to a life that doesn’t necessarily feel like our own. This song is about breaking free of that, stepping out of your comfort zone and living your most true, authentic life.
They are celebrating the release of the new single this Friday, July 28th at The Wurst Biergarten with their friends in Spyglass.
More about the band:
Blonde Roses, a New Orleans rock ‘n’ roll outfit, blends alternative grit and southern blues to create a harmonious union. Pulling inspiration from their strong Louisiana roots, they are also heavily influenced by the 60’s and 70’s and coin these decades as the backbone to their songwriting. The band’s lead vocalist, Molly, states “My parents introduced me to incredible artists like Joni Mitchell and Simon and Garfunkel, among many others, at a young age. I grew up being inspired by singer/songwriters and the stories they told through their lyrics. It’s shaped me into the artist I am today. Making sure that the music we create says something is extremely important to us.”
Starting strong, Blonde Roses exclusively released their debut single ‘Bullet’ on Consequence of Sound, followed by an accompanying music video directed by John Paul Summers on Huffington Post. The band has set forth to deliver honest, raw lyrics about overcoming life’s obstacles and gaining strength from destruction. Molly elaborated, “Even when things seem really tough, there’s always that light at the end of the tunnel that keeps you going. It’s up to you whether you run to it or stay in place. I want our fans to feel like they aren’t alone in feeling lost at times. I want them to know that it’s going to be ok even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time. That there’s something bigger and better waiting for you if you look hard enough. Life isn’t always going to be easy, but it’s a blessing.”
With bold, sultry vocals atop powerful instrumentation, Blonde Roses is stronger than ever. Molly, Harry and Anthony, a group of lifelong friends, are paving their own path in the industry with a debut 5-song EP released exclusively on Substream Magazine.
