So Amazon primed us up yesterday for the be all end all sale of the century – a rival to Black Friday even!! Exclusive to members only, subscribers (me included) were salivating at the chance to pick up some amazing deals. Big retailers like WalMart even bought into the hype, announcing rollbacks of their own to attract potential shoppers.
To say that Prime Day was a disappointment is an understatement. The items on display seemed more like an attempt to unload dusty old warehouse inventory vs a smoking hot steal. Need a VCR tape rewinder? Beard Growther anyone?
