Cajun Relief is a benefit being held at Warehouse 535 this Sunday August 21 from 4-9p. This benefit is to help gather donations and funds for all of the flood victims from this past weekend’s storm. Several bands will be playing including The Rayo Brothers, The Specklers, Motorboat which is a Keith Blair project featuring Dustin Sonnier, Cajun accordionist Mojo and more.
Lullaby Sound Design will be providing all the stage amplifiers, Cajun Brewing will have beer, Pete’s Bar and Grill will have some delicious white beans and sausage, Olympic Grove will be out with all of their yard games, Carpe Diem will have their famous gelato, The Cajun Table food truck will be out their serving all their delicious offerings and all of these vendors will be donating portions of the proceeds!
The cover charge is a “give what you can” donation. As of now, non-perishable food items, diapers, cleaning supplies, and pet food are the most needed items. We will accept cash, though “needed item” donations are preferred. All money collected will in turn be directly used to purchased needed items.
This event is more than just a benefit. It’s a celebration of us. A celebration of our culture and our ability to come together, dust each other off, and get back up. We have a long road ahead, but we’ll get through it with the help of each other.
