Welcome everyone to the latest look back at the weekend that was in football! It wasn’t the greatest weekend in terms of matchups, but that doesn’t mean it was a bad one.
High School: The Cro Keeps Rolling
The Golden Bears of Carencro are having an unprecedented season right now. Heading into last week’s game against Opelousas, they were undefeated at 5-0. But when the bright lights of the Open Air Cro Dome came on, the Bears proved why they are still undefeated with another offensive spectacular destroying the opposition to move to 6-0 before they take on a sneaky good STM team.
College: 2OT Snaps Tennessee’s Lucky Streak
I was deep into Lafayette Comic Con on Saturday afternoon while this game was being played so I didn’t catch it live, but I am forever grateful for DVR. I love the Volunteers if only because they are very special in the second half. That was no different on Saturday as they were able to rally to tie things up at the end of regulation. I had gotten back for the overtime periods so I was shocked that the Vols were unable to get it done once again.
NFL: Are the Falcons That Good?
With the Saints having a bye week, there was no Louisiana football to watch so why not catch some NFC South action with the Atlanta Falcons taking on the Denver Broncos? It was very surprising to see the Broncos defense, which has been touted as the best in the league get completely destroyed by Matty Ice.
