Welcome everyone to the latest review of the weekend that was in the world of sports! It was an enjoyable weekend for hoops fans, not so much when it comes to competitive football games.
College Hoops: Arizona Takes Down UCLA
I’ve liked what I’ve seen in the handful of games that I saw from the Bruins at this point of the season. Lonzo Ball has been one of the players that many fans of basketball should watch because his draft stock has risen throughout the season. However, Arizona was able to take down the third-ranked UCLA with Kobi Simmons going off and scoring 24 points to remain undefeated in the Pac 12. I’d expect the Wildcats to be ranked a lot higher than they were last week after the big win.
NBA: Spurs and Cavs Duke It Out
"BANG! TIE GAME!" Watch LeBron sink it from deep to tie up #CavsSpurs late in the 4th & catch full highlights here: https://t.co/tdvv50Frxg pic.twitter.com/1mILp3TZL2

When I did my weekend preview, this was my game of the weekend when it came to the NBA primarily because it was the start of Saturday night NBA on ABC. This was the perfect way to kick it off. Kahwi Leonard really showed his ability to lead the Spurs to victory in a big game atmosphere and LeBron James showed that he can make a good game great with a late three from downtown to tie things up late. Can’t wait to see if these two face off in the Finals this year.
NFL: ATLiens Headed to Super Bowl
As a Saints fan, it’s disappointing to see that another NFC South team is headed to the Super Bowl. During Championship Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons closed down the Georgia Dome the best way possible: a convincing win over the Green Bay Packers. Now when I say convincing, at the half it was 31-0. This was as lopsided of a contest as it could be and now they’re headed over to Houston. I don’t expect them to hoist the Lombardi Trophy though because they will be facing a very strong AFC team in New England. If you’re not a fan of either, I’d just say watch it because there won’t be much else on that night.
