Welcome everyone to another review of the weekend that was in the world in sports! Football’s over, but there’s still plenty of other things going on worth mentioning.
The Cajuns Triple Header
Saturday for me was a rare event. I don’t normally go to three events in one day, but with the start of softball season, why not pull off the triple header? So I went to the Cajuns softball game early expecting it to be on time, but the first game had started 45 minutes late so I only stayed for the first five innings of the actual game the Ragin Cajuns played in before hoofing it over to the Cajundome for the women’s game. After that game wrapped up, I enjoyed a competitive game between the Cajuns and Troy that saw Bob Marlin get ejected after a double technical in the second half. Overall a very busy Saturday and at the same time worth it because I watched several good games.
College Basketball: Hoosiers vs Wolverines
As we get closer to the Madness of March and it seems like the Cajuns and Tigers won’t be a part of it, why not check out some good games on a lazy Sunday? Michigan was able to get things done on the road for the first time in a while and made it look convincing. They also knocked over the Hoosiers head coach.

A few days ago, it was the anniversary of the iconic dunk by Michael Jordan where he dunked from behind the free throw line in the dunk contest. It’s hands down the most iconic dunk, but it wasn’t done in an actual game. Giannis Antetokounmpo (had to Google how to spell it) is really becoming one of my favorite players to watch and deserves some consideration for MVP if he keeps it going.
