Welcome everyone to my review of the weekend that was in the world of sports. If you missed out on the action, you missed one of the more memorable weekends when it comes to Louisiana sports.

With only a few minutes left in the ball game, the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns got very lucky and came away with an improbable victory over the UL Monroe Warhawks. Seeing Stove drain one from half-court as time expired was crazy considering how many last second shots they missed out on throughout conference play. This was a win they desperately needed.
College Baseball: Poche No-No
It’s been a long time since someone threw a no-hitter at LSU. Now you’ve got Jared Poche joining a very select list of players that did just that as he led the LSU Tigers to a 6-0 win. It was a great weekend for LSU as they ended up winning all three games behind solid hitting and good pitching.
College Softball: Cajuns Beat Bama
Those three words don’t usually mean anything, but when the Crimson Tide came into Lamson Park, it was a big deal for the Cajuns to come away with a series win over a top five team. After getting beat in the first game, they responded quickly with a solid win in the second game on Saturday and won the rubber match. Coach Mike Lotief said that could wash the bad taste out of their mouth from the Louisiana Classics and that’s exactly what happened.
