When the members of North Carolina folk-rock band Delta Rae heard about Wednesday’s horrific shooting in South Carolina, they responded the most immediate way they knew how: with a song.
On Thursday, the group posted All Good People to YouTube along with this message:
“Our hearts and prayers are with the families of those killed in Charleston, S.C., last night. These tragedies have got to STOP…And they will stop when all Americans raise their voices loud and sustained. We cannot be silent if we expect anything to change. We need to protect every member of our community from hate and racism. All good people must raise their voices.”
Delta Rae had a hit in 2013 with Lindsey Buckingham called If I Loved You and released its second album, After It All, in April.
