According to ABC News, Popular rock band Foo Fighters has canceled all upcoming tour dates including a scheduled performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, following the death of its drummer Taylor Hawkins.

The festival is returning after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year the festival will run from April 29-May 1 and May 5-May 8 at the Fair Grounds Race Course.

On Twitter, the Foo Fighters announced their tour cancellation “in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins. We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned.”

The tweet concluded: “Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together.”

Hawkins passed away on Friday at age 50.

Jazz Fest has not announced a replacement.

Stevie Nicks, The Who, Lionel Richie, Luke Combs, Willie Nelson, and Charlie Wilson are among the headliners for this year’s festival.
