Second Harvest Food Bank has partnered with AT&T for a food distribution event, Wednesday, December 20th. The goal of the event is to help struggling families put food on the table this holiday. The event will be at the Martin Luther from 10am ’til noon. It’s a drive through event, on a first come- first served basis. I was recently surprised to learn that Lafayette has the 6th highest poverty rate in Louisiana. “Our staff and volunteers are committed to distributing food to families in need every day, especially during the holiday season, when the need is most pressing,” – Paul Scelfo, Chief Regional Director for Second Harvest Food Bank
