IHOb: International House of Burgers?

Posted by clintdomingue on June 11, 2018 in Featured

The International House of Pancakes left several online over the weekend questioning everything about a potential name change. They posted on Twitter a photo of their iconic logo with the letter p flipped to b.

For 60 pancakin’ years, we’ve been IHOP. Now, we’re flippin’ our name to IHOb. Find out what it could b on 6.11.18. #IHOb pic.twitter.com/evSxKV3QmT

Was it breakfast? Bacon? It’s not often I’m right about things, but in this case I was absolutely right with my prediction of it being burgers. While everyone online is roasting the idea of iHOB (and have been since the announcement), it’s actually a really smart idea. They’re temporarily rebranding to make everyone aware of the fact that they have some brand new burgers. If they just said they have some brand new burgers, everyone would have just been meh about it or wouldn’t have paid attention to it.

All that being said, Wendy’s as always brought the heat in response to the name change.

Remember when you were like 7 and thought changing your name to Thunder BearSword would be super cool?
Like that, but our cheeseburgers are still better.
