The organizers of this event aim to have a positive impact on the community as a whole promoting mental health awareness. Untreated mental illness can have serious and long-lasting effects on individuals, families and entire communities, as witnessed by the tragic shooting in our own city.

NAMI Acadiana, the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, has been identified as the primary benefactor. NAMI is one of the largest grassroots mental health organizations dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
