When you hear stories like this you at first can’t believe something like this could happen. Then you realize it’s real! And then you start to wonder what the heck?
Shoppers at the New Iberia Walmart had a surprise when a man drove his motorcycle into the store and went up and down the aisles, knocking over a few displays and had shoppers and employees running for cover Monday afternoon. ( April 15) The unidentified man came to stop when he crashed his bike into a display.
The driver of the bike was not seriously injured and was carried away in cuffs. He did, however, go to a local hospital for observation according to KLFY-TV.
The store remained open throughout the episode and made for some interesting conversations after the event.
Some people thought it was a stunt. Some customers even said the driver said he had a bomb although this has not been confirmed.
Following an evaluation at the hospital, the driver will be transported to jail when charges are pending.
