Amazing news out of the Brass Bed camp today. See below on what was posted to their Facebook page!
Dear Friends,
It feels like ages since we last spoke. So Pope Francis, huh? I know. Crazy. Now that we’re caught up, here’s the fresh ink on everything happening along BB’s stretch of I-10:
We’re currently plotting the release of our 4th LP “In the Yellow Leaf” in Spring ’16 with our newest label partners – Modern Outsider out of Austin, Texas. We’ve just been positively swooning about them. Just to give you a taste of what’s pumping in our blood right now, ModOut will release our first single for Yellow Leaf on October 30th.
The single’s A-side “I Am Just a Whisper” is easily the most frenetic, anxiety-inducing jangle thrasher BB’s ever produced. We tracked the rave-up with our old pal Danny Reisch (also an Austin product) and featured our dear old Ben “Benjo” Jones of Generationals and Youth Lagoon.
Kick over to the B-side to hear our scuzzed out cover of Gene Thomas’s “Sometimes”, a swamp pop standard by way of Flamin’ Groovies that we tracked with Chris Woodhouse (Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall) in Sacramento, Ca.
Let’s try to stay in touch, OK?

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC, RIGHT?! Below is a write up on Brass Bed from their new label partners, Modern Outsider…
Brass Bed is the lifelong collaboration of Jonny Campos, Christiaan Mader, and Peter DeHart, begun during a bedroom recording session in Lafayette, LA in the Elephant 6-obsessed summer break from college.
It has blossomed from studio to stage through changes in lineup, geographic distance, three studio albums, four EPS, a handful of singles, a pair of robberies, and the various life distractions known as growing up. Brass Bed is not a project. Brass Bed is a band…
In the Yellow Leaf follows Brass Bed’s critically acclaimed 2013 release, The Secret Will Keep You, which landed on NPR’s All Songs Considered 10 Best of the Year!
Looking forward to this new music from the fellas and we will bring it to you once we get it in our hands.
