Over a decade after the original series, Netflix has brought back Queer Eye.
They’ve dropped the “for the Straight Guy” part because it’s not just for straight guys. Apparently, everyone could use some Queer Eye perspective in their life. The 3rd Season was just released on Netflix, so you’ll have plenty to watch.
It’s fun and fresh with lots of humor and lots of crying. It seems Queer Eye loves to leave a tear in mine.
There are fun new makeovers in Season 3, and it’s great to see the challenges the Fab 5 take on and the way they handle the different needs and styles of the subjects. It’s not even really a make-over, it’s more of an enhancement, using what’s already there and showing them how to bring out the best in themselves. And not just in looks, but with lifestyle, culture and food too.
There has been an evolution in the Fab 5 over the last 3 seasons, they reveal a lot about themselves and how they’ve gotten through tough times, so they can relate to a lot of their subjects in a way the make-over-ee can usually hardly imagine.
Give it a watch and keep your mind and your tissue box, open.
