New Iberia Spanish Festival This Weekend

South Louisiana is the festival capital of the world. New Iberia has a strong Spanish heritage. Even the name of the city is of Spanish derivation. It’s home to families with names like Romero & Miguez. So, let’s celebrate!

The 9th annual Spanish Festival comes to New Iberia this weekend, April 21st through 23rd.


There will be a lot going on, with a parade, car show, cookoff, arts & crafts, live music, and a mass. Live entertainment features Clay Cormier, Chubby Carrier, Three Thirty-Seven, Clifton Brown, Cajun Company, Brittany Pool & the Rougaroux, The Bad Boys, Javier Gutierrez & Vivaz, Micaela Y Fiesta Flamenca.


Things get underway Friday at 5 with the blessing of the Crochet Ceiling. Saturday Festivities commence at 10 am, and 9 am Sunday. For more details: newiberiaspanishfestival.com
