ATLAS GENIUS Inanimate Objects (Warner Bros.) This is the Indie/Alt band out of Adelaide, South Australia Sophomore release and it has come out the gate with its synth-reinforced lead single, “Molecules,” indicates a catchy continuation in form. www.atlasgenius.com

BEACH HOUSE Depression Cherry (Sub Pop) This is the band from Baltimore’s fifth studio album. They are described as a dream pop duo. According to the band, the album will be a return to the simpler style of dream pop from their first two albums. www.beachhousebaltimore.com

HALSEY Badlands (Astralwerks) Born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane… she is known by her stage name Halsey, is an American singer/songwriter and recording artist. She chose Halsey as her stage name because it is an anagram of her name and also a street in Brooklyn where she spent a lot of time as a teenager. Halsey began her career by posting cover songs on YouTube under her own name. This is her debut album and has described Badlands is an “angry female record”. www.iamhalsey.com

YO LA TENGO Stuff Like That There (Matador) is an American indie rock band formed in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 1984. Since 1992, the lineup has consisted of Ira Kaplan (guitars, piano, vocals), Georgia Hubley (drums, piano, vocals), and James McNew (bass, vocals). Yo La Tengo announced their 13th studio album Stuff Like That There, is “a sequel of sorts to Fakebook” (their fourth official, full-length album released, in 1990) of re-recorded versions of some of their old songs as well as covers, including songs by The Cure, Hank Williams, and Sun Ra. www.yolatengo.com
