Nostalgic Road Trip To One Of Last Remaining Blockbuster Video’s

Chris Stuckmann and his wife Sam took a nostalgic road trip to one of the last remaining Blockbuster Video’s in the U.S.! They documented their visit with this video that also discusses rental chains of old, and some that are still around… Stuckman also visits a defunct Hollywood Video as well as a decommissioned Blockbuster location, recognizable only by its quick-drop slot on the front wall. For Stuckman, who was introduced to Japanese animation at his local Blockbuster, this was clearly a very personal journey. “Video rental stores are still pretty cool,” he concludes.

Watching the video brought back the feelings of when I was younger just waiting for the weekend to come so my parents could take my brother and I to go rent some videos and the latest SNES games. It was a fun retro reminder of the excitement of being given the “Rental Card” and getting to choose what you want! Check out the video below…
