Remembering ‘Taco’ Flores: He was always smiling

Just finished reading a really great article in The Advertiser from Herman Fuselier about my friend Luis “Taco” Flores who lost his battle with inoperable cancer last week.

“Everybody loved him and he always came to work with a smile on his face,” said George Favaloro, owner of Nitetown in downtown Lafayette. “He treated everybody with dignity and respect. Flores’ death hasn’t stopped folks from competing radio stations, the Cajundome and other venues from coming together to make his tribute a reality. Friends remember him as “a gentle giant,” “a teddy bear” who did everything from night club security to University of Louisiana at Lafayette tailgating to radio station production. Click here to read more of Herman’s article…

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night over at NiteTown for This 1 Is For Taco as we get together to celebrate the life of this great man whom we lost way too soon…
