So, who’s getting in on some good deals today with Amazon Prime Day?! I’ve never been a huge Amazon user but, I was checking out some of the deals earlier just to see what potential BIG deals I could possibly get in on. I saw that People.com posted what they thought were some of the BIG deals of the event… Click here to see what they think… That X-box One deal they posted looks mighty tempting!
Then by chance I ran across #LafayetteFamous, photog extraordinaire, Paul Kieu and he dropped some knowledge in a Facebook post of something that I had no idea about that the online shopping juggernaut does for charities.
Paul says, “If you’re shopping on Amazon for Prime Day (or really any day outside of today), do your shopping at smile.amazon.com. Amazon will donate a portion of your purchase to a non-profit of your choosing. For example, I currently have mine set to LYS – Louisiana Youth Seminar, but there’s plenty of other great non-profits signed up with them. It’s effortless and doesn’t add anything extra to your order total.”
Other great non-profits he mentioned that are found in Lafayette area on Smile include:
If anyone knows of other local area charities that benefit please send me an email and let me know so I can add it to the list. [email protected]
Happy Shopping!
