Sobriety Check Point Coming Up This Weekend in Lafayette

Posted by dylanguillory on March 3, 2019 in Featured

There is nothing worse than impaired drivers making our roads unsafe and dangerous.  With as much focus on the problem driving while under the influence continues to amaze me. If you drive drunk or impaired, you will get cuffed and charged. And you deserve to be arrested. There is so much attention of this problem, if you continue to drive impaired, you are the problem.

StoryBlocks

According to KATC-TV 3, The Lafayette Police Department announced they will be conducting an OWI Checkpoint within the city limits Friday, February 15th between the hours of 9:00 pm and 3:00 am.

Lafayette Police says the officers working the checkpoint will have zero tolerance for those drivers found to be impaired or under the influence of alcohol or various other substances.

Do not drink and drive. If you have plans to slam a few over the weekend, be sure to designate a driver where you and the rest of the community are safe.
