You can get the new digital license from the State of Louisiana for Free through the month of May.
The State if offering the $5.99 digital license for free in the month of May. The state is waiving the activation fee in the hopes of getting more people to use the digital license. How many time have you forgot your wallet but not your phone? This can solve the worries of driving without your license since we seem to never forget our phone.
The digital driver’s license can be used just as you would use a hard driver’s license. Louisiana was the first state in the nation to offer a digital license. Since the rollout in the Bayou State, other states followed include Iowa, Colorado, Idaho, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
The digital license is valid as long as your physical license is valid. At the time when you need to renew your physical license, you’ll need to renew the digital version for $5.99.
