The Better Business Bureau of Acadiana is hosting a food drive for the holiday season. This food drive will help local families in need just in time for Thanksgiving.

If you have any non-perishable foods or supplies to donate, bring them to the Better Business Bureau office. Food will be collected at the BBB office until November 30th. The office is located at 4003 West Congress Street in Lafayette. The donations will be given to the Second Harvest Food Bank to help their mission of ending hunger. If you have donations to give but you need it to be picked up, contact the BBB office and they will assist.

The type of foods that work best as a donation for Second Harvest Food Bank are foods such as cereal, pasta, rice, and flour. Also, evaporated and dry milk, cooking oils, canned fruit and veggies, dried fruits, and any protein in a can. Dried beans, coffee, peanut butter, diapers, and cleaning products are greatly appreciated, as well.

If you need more information and would like to see a complete list of acceptable food donations, please the list here.

Also, you are welcome to contact the Better Business Bureau with any questions. Call 337-981-3497. Please wear a mask when dropping off donations at the office.
