Lafayette is a small city with a big skate problem and The Skatepark of Lafayette Non-Profit organization wants to help resolve that issue! The organization has been assembled to develop and implement a Free and Open to the Public skatepark. With the help of the City, they are determined to build a quality and safe area for patrons to enjoy their craft. The funds they are raising through KICKSTARTER are for the future of skateboarding in Lafayette by creating this safe family friendly public park.

The Skatepark of Lafayette Non-Profit organization needs a total $300,000… the Phase 2 1st Round, however, needs to raise $25,000 in order to begin.
As of May 2018, The Skatepark of Lafayette Non-Profit is in the design phase. They have city approval of an allocated section within the North East Sector of Thomas Park.
