Dreamers is an indie rock band formed in Brooklyn New York, made up of Nick Wold (lead vocals, guitar), Nelson (bass, backup vocals), and Chris Bagamery (drums, backup vocals). They have a very unique sound that blends pop, punk, and grunge, with a sort-of 1970s feel.
The band officially began as a duo, when Wold’s former band broke up, he teamed up with Nelson to release the single “Wolves (You Got Me),” which got some airplay on satellite radio.
In 2014 the band self-released “Wolves (You Got Me)” and an eponymous debut EP. With it’s success, the band began touring with artists like Walk the Moon, Stone Temple Pilots, and Bear Hands. FUN FACT: Wold spent a period of time in 2014… homeless! He cut down his hours at the bar where he was working in order spend some time working on songwriting.
In February of 2016 they released their second EP, You Are Here, which featured “Wolves (You Got Me)” again, as well as four new tunes. One of them is the catchy “Shooting Shadows” – check out the official video below!
Because band members are infatuated with existentialist philosophy, they thought it would be funny to call their new LP, This Album Does Not Exist. It was released in November of 2016, and features a mix of rock and pop that the band calls “cosmic rock.”
“Sweet Disaster” is a song is about how it feels to just get drunk and forget about everything, according to vocalist/guitarist Nick Wold. Listen below!
