DR. DOG The Psychedelic Swamp (Anti-) The Psychedelic Swamp is the ninth album by psychedelic rock band Dr. Dog. It is the band’s fourth release on the ANTI- record label, and is a revamped version of their unreleased debut LP. According to bassist/songwriter/vocalist Toby Leaman, coming back to The Psychedelic Swamp was always in the cards. “The concept behind it is that we were always going to redo it and make it super-accessible pop, which was built into the concept of Psychedelic Swamp,” he told Charleston City Paper. www.drdogmusic.com

DIIV Is the Is Are (Captured Tracks) Is the Is Are is the upcoming 2nd studio album by American indie rock band DIIV. It is set to be released by Captured Tracks on February 5, 2016. Is the Is Are was preceded by the digital release of the single “Dopamine”. According to frontman Zachary Cole Smith, the album was inspired by his experiences since the release of Oshin, including his arrest for drug possession in September 2013, as well as the following media scrutiny he and his model girlfriend, Sky Ferreira, endured. DIIV intended to explore rock music in new ways, with Smith saying: “We’re making non-traditional choices when it comes to rock music. Rock is so thoroughly explored in every way; I still think there’s room to make it interesting. That guitar-based DIIV sound is still there, but we’ve expanded its parameters.” www.diiv.net

THE STARTING LINE Anyways (EP) (Downtown Records) The American pop-punk band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania are back with their first new music since 2007, their 3-song EP Anyways, is produced by Will Yip. After a long hiatus from The Starting Line spent focusing on other projects, the band was inspired by the exciting new wave of punk rock, in and outside of their hometown of Philadelphia. What resulted were three powerful, honest songs that recapture the spirit of this beloved band. www.startinglinerock.com
