Available The Week Of November 13

GIVERS New Kingdom (Glassnote) GIVERS are back with their sophomore album, New Kingdom, due out November 13th via Glassnote Records. From the songs that have been released so far… GIVERS are showing that they are aiming for the fences with the recordings. Bermuda is a darker and moody track that is very unexpected but I’m enjoying. Sleeper Hold featuring Dr. John is very ethereal and primal. Record High, Record Low gives us the upbeat and light hearted GIVERS we know.

GIVERS performed a stripped down version of “Remember” from their forthcoming album live at Preservation Hall’s “Midnight Preserves” 2015. An Elephant Quilt Production Jason Rhein

MUTEMATH Vitals (Wojtek Records) Formed in 2003, MUTEMATH New Orleans’ GRAMMY-nominated, alternative-rock band – is back with new music after a 4 year hiatus. Nothing has been easy on the band in the several years since 2011’s Odd Soul.
MUTEMATH’s VITALS is the sound of a band reborn, rediscovering why they must make music by making it for themselves. mutemath.com

ALYSE YOUNG Unfamiliar (Independent) Alyse Young, a sophomore at Lafayette High in the Performing Arts Academy program for guitar, will unveil Unfamiliar, a five song acoustic EP on November 13. A follow up to her debut album, Unrequited Love, released last fall at the age of 14, this EP is a fully original acoustic album, with thoughtful melodies and lyrics about relationships, performed with mellow, soothing vocals. alyseyoungmusic.com
