One of the great things about Thanksgiving is the leftovers. Not only are they a treat. You can go virtually all weekend without cooking another meal. We eventually have to wonder how long it’s safe to keep leftovers around. That depends upon how you handle them. Food safety experts recommend refrigerating leftovers within a couple hours after cooking. Most people don’t. If you do, you’ll be safe for up to a week. Otherwise, you should finish them off, or freeze them by the following Monday. Once frozen, there good for 2 to 6 months.
