The Northside of Lafayette is anxiously awaiting the opening of Billy’s Boudin on Pont Des Mouton Road. The Exxon station is open. The newest location of Billy’s inside will open on Monday, July 1st. Get ready, to enjoy some of the best Boudin in Louisiana.
I can’t wait to taste the delicious goodness of Billy’s Pepperjack Boudin Balls, Boudin, and cracklins without having to drive to Scott or Opelousas. I recently stopped by to check on the progress of the store. The manager, Kaitlyn Higginbotham says the anticipation is real. She is also hiring. If you like working around food, there could be a position for you.
If the response is anything like the lines and traffic I’ve seen at the other locations, of Billy’s Boudin, it is going to be very busy. They are putting the final preps in place to officially open on Monday. All our favorites will be available at this new location.
I love boudin. I did not grow up eating it. I got my first taste of Boudin as a college student at USL. I lived on Comeaux’s Boudin, potato chips, and soda. I have made a promise to myself that I will try not to eat Billy’s Boudin every day. You will see me there often getting my boudin fix. Yummy!
