Chicot State Park is Reopening!

Posted by Tanya Ardoin on June 12, 2020 in Blogs, Featured, Latest News, Tanya's Blog

Finally, Chicot State Park will reopen to visitors. The park was previously closed during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Office of State Parks announced in a press release the park will be open to the public on June 26. The campground and cabins are available for reservations now. The day-use areas such as the boat launch, fishing piers, pavilions, picnic sites, and playground will reopen June 26.

The park will be offering a special discount to anyone interested in reserving a 4-night stay. To take advantage of this discount, use the promo code WELCOMEBACK. The promo will be available until September 7, 2020.

Chicot State Park is a beautiful place to spend a weekend. The park is full of wildlife. Don’t be surprised if you run into a giant alligator while fishing. Hiking and biking trails weave throughout the park. There is something for everyone.
