The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s School of Music is hosting their fourth annual Christmas Concert on Wednesday, December 2nd in Angelle Hall at 6:00 pm. Get in the Christmas Spirit by attending this fantastic, FREE performance by the UL Lafayette Chorale, Chamber Singers, Ragin’ Cajun Women’s Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Bluegrass Ensemble! This event is open to the general public.

The UL Lafayette Chorale: Premiere large choral ensemble on campus. Musical repertoire consists of a vibrant blend of masterworks and music from around the world.
The UL Lafayette Chamber Singers: Top vocal ensemble on campus. They often appear in collaboration locally, with ensembles such as the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, the UL Lafayette Wind Ensemble, the University Orchestra, and UL Opera and Musical Theater. Musical repertoire consists of classical works, vocal jazz, and contemporary music.
Ragin’ Cajun Women’s Choir: Conducted by Professor William Plummer, the newest choir made their debut in October for the UL Lafayette Choirs Fall Concert An Evening of Sacred Music.
UL Lafayette Wind Ensemble: Premier concert organization of the UL Lafayette Band Program, the Wind Ensemble maintains high standards of performance. It has traveled to France twice and to Mexico for invited concert tours.
Vermilion Express: UL Lafayette’s student bluegrass band, Vermilion Express, performs traditional, contemporary, and progressive bluegrass featuring strong student vocals and instrumental support from community volunteers. Instructor Len Springer is the fiddler for the Louisiana Purchase Bluegrass Band. Len toured widely with several Nashville-based artists including Brenda Lee, Donna Fargo, Ronnie Reno and Ray Price, and he worked as a staff fiddler for Nashville’s Top Tracks studio.
