MacKenzie was paired with former contestant Lauren Alaina on last night’s episode of American Idol. Alaina, a country singer, was the runner-up on the tenth season of American Idol. It seems Lauren might have a little crush on our boy from Louisiana! Watch them perform “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack.
Idol judge Harry Connick Jr. had this to say about MacKenzie,“Your performance of ‘Say Something’ last night was extremely strong. I thought this was sweet. I thought it was a nice duet. But I’m thankful last night. To me, that set the bar for how talented you are.”
MacKenzie’s performances have now moved him into the Top 14 of the final season!
