Welcome everyone to the look back at the weekend that was in football at all three levels! This meant to be put up on Monday, but I waited until after Monday Night Football because I had a little bit too much fun getting excited for and it dashed my hopes of seeing them get a win. That’s the end of the negativity, let’s look at the positivity of football.
High School: Fumble Bowl
The Teurlings Rebels needed to bounce back after one tough loss against Notre Dame the week before, and had a fun matchup against Breaux Bridge and did just that. It was marred by both teams having at least 11 fumbles on the night, but at the end of the day it’s not how you perform, as long as you come away with the W.
College Football: Wild and Wooly Deep In the Heart of Texas
The Aggies and the Razorbacks both headed into this game were undefeated and it was the highlight of the college football slate as I said heading into the weekend. Both teams were playing their tails off to try and remain undefeated and the Aggies were able to pull away late thanks to their defensive players showing out. A close second highlight of the weekend was Florida blowing a big lead in the second half against Tennessee (we’ll get to that).
Pro Football: Patrick Peterson With INT of Year
The Cardinals should probably plug in Patrick Peterson at WR to jumpstart their offense. Pick of the year so far? pic.twitter.com/rhgT8eSmDT

The LSU Tigers didn’t have that good of a weekend after losing their head coach, but former LSU stars had a pretty good Sunday, most notably Patrick Peterson who had one of the best interceptions possibly ever. Watch it above and tell me that’s not amazing. He barely kept his feet inbounds in the game against the Buffalo Bills and caught it with one hand. If I tried to do that, I’d probably hurt something and be done for the rest of the year.
Lighter Side of Sports: Gameday Signs
One of the highlights of a Saturday morning for college football fans is College Gameday. I don’t watch it anymore because I’m busy doing a show over on our sister station 103.7 the Game from 9-11 am on Saturdays, but I keep track of the signs. And this week at the Florida-Tennessee game the signs were just incredible. See below.
