The Sun Belt Conference tried something a little different when it comes to men’s and women’s basketball by having the men play on Saturdays and Mondays while the women played on Thursdays and Saturdays.
It wound up not being received well among the coaches as well as the fans according to Cajuns basketball coach Bob Marlin.
The fans of Sun Belt basketball can now rejoice that both men and women’s hoops will be played on Thursdays and Saturdays in the 2017-18 season. The conference schedule for the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns was announced along with the rest of the Sun Belt on Thursday morning with times still to be determined.
The Cajuns will start off the conference slate on the road in Little Rock on December 29th and Arkansas State two days later on December 31st. The Cajuns then will return home for a three-game homestand against Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, and UL Monroe.
