When it comes to the 1980s, I’m far from an expert because I was born in 1989. However, I did grow up playing the original NES and enjoying basketball during the zenith of Michael Jordan’s dominance.
That’s what makes seeing these custom colorways even more spectacular. The company Freaker Sneaks put out a limited release of custom Air Jordan 4s that not only have game artwork on the tongue of the sneaker, but actually have the actual D-Pad and both A and B buttons.
Sadly, it looks like the website has sold out of the sneakers. Fingers crossed for a re-release that winds up better than the launch of the NES Classic.
