Downtown Lafayette is the place to get into the Christmas Spirit this week and enjoy these great festivities:
December 7 marks the 75th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and in recognition of this historic event, First Baptist Lafayette will present five performances of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” December 7-11.
This presentation is free and will feature traditional Christmas and World War II era music in an exciting stage production. It is centered on the true meaning of Christmas as experienced by families in December 1941. In addition to the dramatic cast, the church choir, soloists, and orchestra will be a part of the program.
Free tickets for “I’ll be Home for Christmas” are available at the First Baptist Lafayette website www.fbclaf.org. Performances are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, December 7 – 9 at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 – 11 at 3:00 p.m. For more information call 337.593.3757.
