Return to the Moon – the debut album for EL VY (the collaborative project of Matt Berninger of the National and Menomena’s Brent Knopf) comes out on October 30th. They’ve already shared the title track, now they’ve released another called “Paul is Alive.”
Berninger said in a statement “I think ‘Paul Is Alive’ is about finally finding the water that you can breathe in, finding a place or a person that makes you feel like you. It’s very much my story of what Cincinnati was like, growing up and falling in love with music, discovering these little places where like-minded people could find each other.”
Check out the lyric video, directed by Matt’s brother Tom Berninger who made the National documentary Mistaken for Strangers. (great watch too by the way if you’ve yet to)
